1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing and using the Museum of Greek Mythology website and services operated by MGM ATHENS P.C., you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. FOUNDING MEMBER TERMS

Founding Member lifetime access is valid from the museum opening date (June 2026) and is non-transferable. The €99 fee is a one-time payment and represents a pre-purchase commitment to support the museum's development.

3. EU RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (DIRECTIVE 2011/83/EU)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire 14 days from the day of purchase of your Founding Member pass.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email) to:

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal:

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw.

We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

⚠️ EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL:

In accordance with Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does NOT apply to:

  • Tickets for specific dates/events: The VIP launch event invitation is date-specific and cannot be withdrawn once issued (Article 16(l) - leisure events on a specific date)
  • Digital content: Any digital membership materials, NFTs, or downloadable content provided before the withdrawal period expires, with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose your withdrawal right (Article 16(m))
  • Sealed goods: Physical membership items (t-shirts, pins) once unsealed or personalized (Article 16(e))

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that certain components of your Founding Membership may fall under these exceptions and that you expressly consent to the performance of the contract before the 14-day period expires for time-sensitive elements (VIP event RSVP, launch communications).

This right of withdrawal is provided in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and applies to consumers purchasing within the European Union.

4. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Pre-Opening Period (Before June 2026):

Founding Member purchases are subject to the EU Right of Withdrawal outlined in Section 3. Refund requests within the 14-day withdrawal period will be processed in full.

Post-Opening Period (After June 2026):

  • Lifetime Memberships: Founding Member lifetime access is non-refundable after the museum opens, as the benefit is perpetual
  • General Admission Tickets: Regular tickets purchased for future visits may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled date, subject to availability
  • Force Majeure: In the event of museum closure due to unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, government mandate, etc.), ticket holders will receive credit for future visits or full refunds at their choice

VIP Launch Event Cancellation:

If you cannot attend the VIP launch event, you may:

  • Transfer your +1 invitation to another individual (names must be provided 7 days before the event)
  • Request an alternative private tour date within 90 days of opening (subject to availability)

5. MUSEUM ACCESS

Museum hours are subject to change. Special events may require advance booking. The museum reserves the right to close halls temporarily for maintenance.

6. CONDUCT

Visitors must respect exhibits, staff, and other guests. Photography is allowed in designated areas. Flash photography and touching exhibits are prohibited.

7. LIABILITY AND RISK DISCLOSURES

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees or agents
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under Greek law or EU consumer protection law

VR Experience Warnings and Requirements

Virtual Reality (VR) experiences may not be suitable for all visitors. Before participating, please be aware of the following:

Health Warnings:

  • Motion Sickness: VR experiences may cause dizziness, nausea, disorientation, or motion sickness in some individuals
  • Seizures: A small percentage of people may experience seizures when exposed to flashing lights or patterns. If you have a history of epilepsy or seizures, consult a physician before use
  • Pre-existing Conditions: Individuals with heart conditions, balance disorders, or anxiety disorders should consult a medical professional before participating
  • Pregnancy: Pregnant visitors should consult their healthcare provider before using VR equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Age Restriction: VR experiences are recommended for visitors aged 13 and above. Children aged 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • Mobility: Some experiences require standing and moving within a designated area. Please inform staff if you require accessibility accommodations
  • Vision: VR headsets accommodate most prescription glasses. Contact lenses are recommended for optimal comfort
  • Duration Limits: We recommend taking breaks every 15-20 minutes during VR experiences

Safety Instructions:

  • Follow all instructions provided by museum staff
  • Immediately remove the VR headset if you experience discomfort, nausea, dizziness, or disorientation
  • Remain within designated VR experience areas at all times
  • Do not use VR equipment if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Inform staff immediately if equipment appears damaged or malfunctioning

Personal Belongings: The museum is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Secure storage is available at the entrance.

Insurance: The museum maintains appropriate public liability insurance in accordance with Greek law.

This section complies with Greek Civil Code Articles 330, 914, and EU Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, designs, and exhibits are protected by copyright. Commercial use of museum content requires written permission.

9. MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
